so i stopped by a local shop today to shoot the shit with the owners who are friends of mine. in the conversation we started talking about E85 and one of them was saying that a "top end lubricant" is something that will help keep the system lubricated since E85 doesn't have the same lubricating effects that regular gasoline does....apparently you buy this stuff and about 4oz treats 15 gallons.....
any truth to this?

The gasoline manufactures have to make the fuel work. I don't really believe you should mess with the formula of additives. Most additives are made to work with each other in specific amounts. Adding to this would throw off all of that.

that's what i figured, these are a couple of guys that are kinda "old school gear heads" and aren't really open to the fuel.....they were trying to scare me with these stories they had and most of it seemed like BS, but that was something i figured i'd run by you
