After countless days of R&D and testing with our new S-550 parts we have our final before and after videos of our suspension parts, as well as a video walking you step by step in the removal of the IRS. As you will see in the videos not only do our bushings fully stabilize the subframe and diff but also the very important articulating components of the IRS. You can just replace the subframe and diff bushings but that does no good for the rest of the IRS components. The control arms have quite a bit of deflection as you will see from our video. With all of our bushings installed except for the diff inserts, using a DB level meter we had zero increase in NVH and more than 85% of the wheel hop was eliminated. When the diff inserts were installed there was a 2 DB level increase in NVH and some diff backlash was noticeable but the wheel hop was almost completely eliminated. We were able to decrease the NVH 1 DB and diminish the diff backlash with dynamat and spray foam in the tubes of the IRS frame. After all the rubber was removed from the IRS and our bushings installed the performance and confidence gained was vastly improved. Before and after video: IRS removal video: If you have any questions you can contact us at info@fulltiltboogieracing.com.
