SOLD
I cannot believe this day has come, but my 2004 Torch Red Terminator is up for sale.
On October 22nd 2011, I traded my 2005 CTS-V straight up for my Cobra. The car had 38,6XX miles on it, and was stock besides lowering springs, a Steeda Triax and a Magnaflow catback. Every other modification done to the car was done by me.
This car is a proper example of a tastefully modded, well kept, beautiful terminator. I would give the paint on this car a 9/10. The car does have 53k on it, and the hood and front bumper do suffer from some rock chips, but nothing major. The rear bumper does have some chips behind where the rear tire is (which is impossible to protect with drag radials). Anyone who knows me understands how meticulous and anal I am with washing/cleaning this car. I use a clean wash mit every time, two bucket method, and no towel has every touched my car before except a clean, new, microfiber towel. I had the car professional paint corrected/sealed in 2014 and I have done a great job in preventing swirls/scratches from coming back. Underneath the hood the car is pristine. Engine bay has beautiful color; the valve covers are absolutely perfect and match Ford Racing Blue Perfectly. I painted the blower, plenum, tensioner, and pulley bridge silver, and they all came out outstanding. I replaced every valve cover, coil cover, and blower bolt with stainless bolts that cost me $150.
The interior is in outstanding shape. The seats are OEM 10th Anniversary seats that had 9,000 miles on them when I bought them (they’ve been in the car about 5,000 miles). I regularly condition them, and I am very conscience when getting in/out of the car. They still look like 9k mile seats. The dash and door panels are in amazing shape.
With today’s world of social media (facebook, Instagram, etc.), anyone’s car can look “clean”. I have received numerous upon numerous compliments on my car about how clean and tastefully modified it is. Every year at Mustang Week, countless amounts of people come up to me and tell me how they cannot believe how my car is as clean in person as it is in pictures. I am sure there are numerous people on this forum that can vouch for how clean and well maintained my car is. She truly is a beauty.
I am not going to say “this car was never beat on”, because that is a lie. I have enjoyed this car the way Ford/SVT intended it to be. I have done burnouts in this car and highway pulls. The car runs absolutely perfect, no noises etc., driveline is solid. I took the car to the drag strip twice and it has a total of 8 passes on it. The best time I have ran with the car was an 11.42 @123 w/ a 1.68 60’.
Since I owned the car, it’s always been tuned by Pete @ Performance Dyno. The first time was in 2012 with the stock blower and pulley, then in 2013 with the stock blower and longtubes, and lastly in 2015 with the current modifications. The car made 502rwhp/502tq on the current setup on a hot July day. The car runs very, very hard for what is done to it.
Besides the fact that this car has the factory bilsteins, every other suspension piece on this car has been replaced. I personally never felt the need to be “slammed” and enjoy how nice the car rides the way it sits. With the rear end having the Full FTBR Kit, Diff Cover, Bump Steer Kit, and a fully built transmission, this car has a strong drive train. The transmission is a Rockland Standard Gear Built T56 (Tranzilla). It is rated up to 750 ft. lbs. of Torque. It has a 26 Spline input shaft, 1-4 gear built, carbon shift forks, billet syncros etc.
This car is merely a bigger blower away (debatable) from being a very badass (and well equipped) street car. I am in no rush to sell this car, nor am I in any financial trouble to sell this car. I spent a lot of time, money, and effort in making this car how beautiful as it is. I will only sell this car to someone who appreciates what it is and who will continue to care for the car as I have over the past 5 years. It will be a sad day to watch this car leave my possession, but I believe it is time to try something new. I do not owe any money on this car, and I have a clean CT title in hand.
Probably the highlight and best feature about this car is the sounds it produces. The car is so tame and mellow at low rpm’s and cruising speeds, but at wide open throttle, this car is absolutely deafening. At idle, the car sounds cammed, and in all honestly, this car is the best sounding terminator I have ever heard. The car does not sound like plain “noise”, but instead is very tone and smooth. The blower absolutely screams, and the combination of the blower and exhaust at WOT is quite outstanding.
Thank you to those who will inquire about the car, and to those who have read this add. If anyone disagrees with my price, or has any negativity about my for sale add, please do not be rude and instead of commenting, PM me or give me a phone call/text and I will more than happily talk. As time goes on, finding a clean Cobra is hard to come by. I have been watching the market for years, and my price is reflected for what is done to the car, it’s condition, and for what other Cobras have sold for. If you text me and ask if I will take $20,000 cash, I will not entertain you. I do not care what your friend’s cousin paid for their Cobra. I spent a lot of time making this for sale add as detailed as possible. I’m sure I forgot somethings in this add, but I listed everything I could think of. I will update the add if I think of anything else as time goes on.
If anyone has any further questions about the car, please feel free to PM me, or call/text me on my cell @ 203-592-6210.
Thanks,
Raymond
