Well, after holding out as long as I could, COVID is forcing me to sell my Mach 1. It’s a 2003 Torch Red with a 2003 Cobra Terminator engine and 6 speed tranny swap with 46,627 miles on the dash. Frame has approximately 7000 more miles than the engine/tranny. I bought it from the original owner in November 2017 in San Diego with 43,500 miles. Original owner was local forum member 01TrueBlueCobra. I went through the painstaking, several month process of taking it through the California BAR referee process to get everything legal. It now has an additional door jamb sticker specifying the swap and will pass smog legally. I should also add to the original owner’s credit that the BAR referee said that he had never seen such a properly done swap of this magnitude. This mustang qualifies as a classic car and I have a guaranteed payout insurance policy through Hagerty that costs about half as much as normal auto insurance. Any buyer should be able to do the same. I haven’t done much to the car since I’ve owned it aside from replacing the headlights and a handful of aesthetic pieces. It has basically sat in my garage with the intent to keep it as a future resto-mod. When I purchased the mustang, I also purchased all of the available original parts. The only missing original parts are the original engine, tranny, and wheels. Meaning all of the stock parts that are not on the car are boxed up and can be part of the sale price. That also means that there is a complete Mach 1 front and rear seat set with very little miles on it(rear seat was never sat in). I will copy and paste the original listing below since it was straight from the original owner:

I know it is not a factory Terminator but it makes up for it. I am the original owner of this Mach 1. In 2006 I swapped the Mach 1 motor for a '03 Cobra motor and 6 speed. The list below shows the rest of the mods to the car. The last dyno had the car at 557HP and 570 ftlb at the wheels. The car currently has 43,4xx miles on the motor and just over 50K on the body.

Beautiful car. I am getting ready to do the same swap in my 03 GT. Could you share how you did the wiring side of the installation or is there a thread somewhere in here? Tia.

I purchased the vehicle from the original owner, who was the one that did the swap. He gathered all of his parts from a same-year totaled out Cobra. He said he swapped over every single harness, front to back. Nothing was spliced in. So basically he dismantled both cars and swapped everything over. I don’t have any more information aside from that. Best of luck though. He said it wasn’t too difficult once he was able to see everything pulled apart. I would imagine it’s just daunting trying to figure out where to start. If you’re doing splicing, that’s a whole ‘nother beast.
