Thanks! Seriously considering just keeping these as a backup set and picking up 19x10's for rears...hmmm...Someone buy these!

LOLOL....i just stopped in to see if these had sold. You're "I can't believe these.." posts are killing me.

Anyway, these ARE a great deal. Unfort for the 2011-present Mustang crowd, the tires are just the wrong size for anyone looking to DAILY them. The whole setup together just kinda fails to meet a popular niche. The wheels are a great daily lightweight front wheel, but the tires are too thin. The tires may fit someone looking to run a daily fat/skinny setup, but most people looking to do that just go for the 15x7 rears with matching fronts and skinnier tires. They def don't fit the bill for a straight drag front setup either.

Point is, if someone doesn't want those tires at all, the deal doesn't look as appealing. Consider separating them, you could probably make up the money for dismounting in the sale prices of them separately. Just a thought. Either way, hope they sell!

What the hell are you talking about? These tires are the exact same size as the tires that come on the stock premium wheels and they're WAY better tires!!

Woah. Apologies if I rustled your jimmies. I was only trying to offer some perspective as to why they MAY not have sold yet.

To ME, the OEM front (and rear) tire width is insufficient. I also find it a little thin on a 9 inch wheel, not that it's super stretched, but whatever. Just seems to me that from all of the packages I've seen posted here (inlcuding mine), unless they are 8.5 inch wheel packages bought from AM, people don't opt for 245 as often as 255-275 for the fronts. Even AM's default tire for the 19x9 CF5 set is 255/40. That's what the hell I was talking about. Sorry if I disrupted your thread, I was just trying to offer another perspective.

    Regardless, good luck with sale.

Come into my thread telling the world that my tires I'm selling are the "wrong" size for a DD? That's absolutely FALSE information and you shouldn't come into a thread where someone is selling something and broadcast an absolutely FALSE message like that. They aren't the wrong size at all and if anything, would ride BETTER than a tire that you're recommending with a 40 series sidewall. Nobody cares what AM sells on their site...FORD MOTOR CO put this size tire on their OE cars for a reason and they know a helluva lot more than AM or you. Have a good day.

Well not to get into this middle of this but I really believe that he was just trying to help you out. And ford did not put a 245 on a 9" wide wheel, which is what I believe he was referring to with the wrong tire size comment.

man, I really only tried to help, but you have a roll that cannot be slowed.

I didn't say the tire was WRONG for a DD, and everyone can see the context of my first post. I said MOST people opt for a WIDER TIRE, MAYBE that's why they are still sitting there. NOWHERE did I recommend for nobody here to buy your shit.

Ride comfort is different with every tire. Different tires have different sidewall stiffness. I was only commenting on width here, not profile.

Ford put those 245s on an 8.5 inch wheel for many reasons. Fuel economy, noise, cost, etc. This car is not a Ferrari. Everything on the car is not optimized by ford engineers from the factory with ONLY performance in mind. Especially tires.

You seem pissed off for absolutely no reason, so I'll quit here. Positive side, free bumps for you.

245 is perfect for a 9" wheel...Look at the rim width range on any tire spec sheet. My point that I'm making is don't come into my sale thread talking negatively about items I'm trying to sell. These 245's on these 9" wide CF5's actually looked great and have a wider section width than the stock 245's (closer to 255's). As everyone knows, not all tires are made the same and in many cases a 245 can be almost as wide as a 255 and 295's fit like 305's with some brands...Different manufacturers make tires slightly different...Also...Did you notice where I mentioned I might keep them and purchase 19x10's for my rears because I kinda don't give a shit if they sell or not? As it is, I'm giving them away so if someone wants to squabble over a tire that's called a 245 where they get these tires for free essentially then oh well I'll keep them.
