I have a drivetrain out of a wrecked 99 that had 40k miles on it.

It's been sitting for 5 or 6 years. I purchased it from a friends uncle down in Lake Havasu,Arizona.

We hauled it back to Nebraska and what we didn't notice at the time was 3 spark plugs were removed for whatever reason. Well it rained while it was in the back of the truck and water got into 3 of the cylinders. We vacummed it out and sprayed wd40 down the cylinders.

So i'm not sure what will need to be done to insure theirs no pemanant damage.

In my opinion it should be torn down and inspected.

It's missing the alternator,6 coil packs and the ecu. His uncle says he has another box in storage that should have everything. I have yet to hear back from him on that.

I have the wiring harness and a bunch of misc stuff for it. It's 98% all their.

With all that being said i'm not sure what to ask for it??

Make offer and we can go from there i suppose.

I will upload pics later in the day. Thanks

With it not having an ECU (discontinued from Ford I assume) or and need a potential engine rebuild, I wouldn't get your hopes up high on it.

I'm not looking to get rich off of it. I have thought about parting it out. I would probably get more out of it going that route but really don't want the hassle. We hauled a car to him and this was the payment i took.

Not sure how much you paid for it, but parting it out may be worth your while

Blower - 300-500

Transmission - 5-700

plenum - 100-200 (for someone who wants to port it)

Upper intake 150-250 (for a regular F-150 guy that wants to put a blower on it)

Intercooler - 300 or so as AM ones are 6-700

Hold out for the uncle .
It is extremely difficult to get rain down in those cylinder dears , while driving down the road.
I would not be afraid to run the engine as it is.

Don't let Zemdici intimidate you, looks like he is trying to lowball you for his own benefit lol.

Just called a shop they said run it like it is or bring it to them they will tare it down and inspect it, regasket it and have it ready to go for $500.....assuming theirs no surprises. If I do that what would it be worth? Roughly?

I wish you were closer. I am looking for a Lightning drivetrain for my 56 F100. I would give you $2000 for it since the shortblock probably needs a rebuild and maybe even some block work if the cylinder walls are rusted.
