I ended up using channel locks to gain more leverage and save my hands.</p><p></p><p>As far as the torque I just snugged the adapters down as hard as I was comfortable with.</p><p></p><p>I am very pleased with the end result for what was gained versus money spent. I got the rotors from my local Ford dealership, they ran about $200. The pads came from Amazon for about $75. So with the adapters from Cale I got new and bigger rear brakes for around $400.</p><p></p><p> I seasoned the new pads by doing about 10 series of speeding up to around 45 MPH then slowing down to about 5 MPH without stopping(Fortunate to have a grammar school close by). This seats the new pads to the rotor. I think the braking is better and more responsive.
