I am going to put a set of front runners on my street/strip car and am wondering what size tire others are running on the street? I have a dedicated strip set up and like the way the car looks with the skinnies but don't want to run that high priced race tire on the street.
A little help please.

Unfortunately, you are pretty much limited to Hoosier or Mickey Thompson S/R due to the weight of the newer cars.

I use to run the 26" Hoosier Pro Street front's on my 17" Weld's and wondered why they looked low on air at 30-35psi. It turns out that an s197 coyote with a blower far exceeded the weight rating of the tire. I swapped over to 28" MT's S/R's and the car feels a lot better on the street.

A week after I bought the 28's, Mickey Thompson released the 27x6x17's which is what I wanted.

Forgot that I posted this. Thank you for responding. I will try the 27s and see how they feel.
