To use that size tire you need stock lengh axles so the tire will sit flush and the nothracecar rear caliper mount to off set the caliper. I used fr500 9x17 w/ 245 in front and 10.5x17 w/315 nittos in rear those tires run narrower there really like 275's your front set up you mentioned will work the off set in front is 24mm and the rear is 28mm. hope this helps. I just finished this set up. Not only do you have to change axles for stock 87-93 but you need to cut the brake bracket. Hmmm... Well I had a 95 GT Rear End and I needed to modify the brake bracket for the rear disc brakes. There was these steps I had follow, switch them around and then use a grinder. I used a 1/2 spacer with Nitto 555 315's for the rear and 275 eagle F1 in the front. I aldo rolled my fenders with an Eastwood tool and applied light force with a 3lb sledge hammer for the rear inner fender. My rear tires were slightly rubbing. Also, the rear tail pipes needed to be adjusted from the cat back. You can go half downs or take the time to adjust the catback exaughst.

New axles but took this picture with 1/2 spacer. I removed it since I hammered in the rubbing areas from inside the fender wall. Almost like a miny tub but not.

I used 03 cobra and Fr500 with no problem now. I believe my old 95 axles were much like your 97. Eastwood tool, slegde hammer, stock axles, no spacer now= no problem. I bought wider rims because I strached my legit cobra rear rim. : (.

You don't have to run the fox length axles, but if you don't they will stick out (I think 0.75" longer for SN95 axle?). I run the 18x10 FR500 replica rears with fox length axles. It is an easy swap. Requires a little bit of fluid for the diff (search for specs and amount), 2 fox length axles (you can order aftermarket or use two passenger axles from an aerostar or two driver side from a ranger for about $25-50 from a junkyard), and the best thing for the brake bracket if you're running SN95 brakes is the North Racecars brackets. Have fun

The car was Comp orange, but the lack of clear gives it a brownish tint. Hopefully next winter I will be able to repaint it. I was either thinking azure blue or comp orange. This year I'm focus on the interior.

Thanks
