We did, someone just mentioned today that it might not work on plastic. Will it be an issue?

Surface rust in the sun roof. Wire wheeled, sanded, por-15.

First round of high build blocked down. Found some low/high spots. Added minimal filler, which was a relief. Second coat applied.

This has been our approach, as you can see this is not a professional job but we are learning a lot as we go and trying not to cut too many corners.

For full transparency I’ve included all the pictures of the good, bad, and ugly. Thank you for the support, we’ve got a-lot of hours in this so far. Getting closer!

Thanks man, can’t wait to tackle the body work. Has minor dents. Like penny size of smaller on the trunk. The rest of the body is straight.

You should be in good shape than. Most of our time was spent on rust areas. If you don’t have to fight that you should be able to move fairly quick.

What did you run at the strip? Looks like it’s all stock?

Looks great! The street lites fit the car well. I wish we were adding a small cowl hood like yours, I think it adds a lot to the appearance. What size tire do you have tucked under the back?

The Bimini blue is a unique color, don’t see a lot of them.

For sure man, bottom side of the car is damn near rust free. It was a good car to get for sure. Interior is nice too considering it’s age. Car was bone stock with 12 degrees of timing, and 3.73 gears. Ran 14.3@97 I think? I’d have to look back at it.

I’ll have to take more photos of it soon. My buddy had been keeping it at his house for me. I’ll update it soon without detailing your thread my friend!

First coat of primer sanded. Found some low spots, filled them in, sanded them down. Hopefully the next coat will get it close.

The filler for the dent on the hatch turned out almost perfect on the first attempt. Very pleased about that.
