I've been researching several kits out there and the crank is an included part, my thoughts are to use my stock crank and have it doubled keyed if possible. Am I in the ball park with what i'm thinking?

Yes, but there are some things you can do to your crank besides double keying it. A lot of the cranks I see for sale these days also have cryo treatments. That should be fairly easy to accomplish. I'd have a machinist mic it to make sure it doesn't need to be turned, but if it's low miles it's not likely to be an issue.

The car has 8100 miles and change, with a good bit of time on the 1/4 and 1/2. If the crank is ok, I'll piece the other components together and throw the crank savings at cams.
