Just released in Left Lane News: http://www.leftlanenews.com/ford-teases-new-performance-model-for-nov-17-unveiling-video.html.

"A few brief teaser angles show a "Powered by Ford" engine, aluminum pedals, alloy wheels and black grille. The segment ends with the low rumble of an idling engine, with a reference to November 17 -- just in time for the Los Angeles Auto Show.

The teaser meshes with recent rumors surrounding an upcoming high-performance Mustang, likely the GT350, that is due for a formal introduction. It is expected to be powered by a 5.2-liter naturally-aspirated V8 engine."

Yeah, the first couple seconds of the vid look like the left rear quarter panel of the Stang, and little flashes of bodywork, etc, all look like Mustang items too.
Would be nice to see something comparable to the Z/28 on the Ford side, though I'm sure I'll never be able to afford one.

I'm honestly thinking GT350 is the icing on the cake. Hopefully its the introduction of the RS Focus coming state side among other things. There was rally and Nascar involved in that video. Also the "1/5" so I am assuming 4 more videos to come?

They better announce the RS because I'm already dead set on getting one! With the impressive performance of the Ecoboost Mustang already, it's just making it sound that much better.

It would be nice but damn, Focus ST are already expensive as it is, high $20's for a fwd 2.0L with leather+nav? You really gonna spend mid $30's on a loaded RS when you can get a Mustang EB for the same? Granted the RS will likely blow it out of the water since itll be lighter and quicker but still.

I really like the ST's and theyve proven themselves already, but damn, its hard to justify that for a Focus.

I'll pay mid 30s for it no prob. I realize it's a lot for a Focus but I've had a love for RS cars since I was a kid and have always wanted an Escort RS, RS200, etc. If it comes with the 2.3 with anywhere between 320-350hp and AWD like they are now reporting, then I think it will be worth $35k as a performance car. Plus I'll own a childhood dream car with huge potential from that 2.3.

I just wish we could get the 2-door hatch body style here.

That really does annoy me too that North America has abandoned the 2 door hatchback.

just get the four door version and don't use the back two ;-)

Not in the US. We only get the 4 door version. A 4 door will probably be more convenient anyways as I'm almost 30, so neither me or anyone I know is going to want to squeeze behind a folding seat to get to the back lol.

Check out the SVTP front page.

Yeah, I saw that Sid! Steve's doing a great job with the Front Page news. My only hope is that if it is the GT-350 that it will be affordable. Or at least somewhat affordable.

We got spoiled with SVT Cobras from 1993-2004. SVT Mustang models pretty much everyone could afford.

Yes- that is so true...32K for 2003 SVT and I kept it for about 10 years...Tried to buy a Shelby and the dealer gouging just hacked me off.

It's becoming impossible to afford these cars, and that's not operating costs either "gas, insurance, mods"

An you're right. I thought the cool thing about the FiST was it being a 2dr hatch.
