Natural gas isnt clean, Coal isnt clean, Nuclear is a clean time bomb waiting to pollute the world. Renewable is unreliable, Solar, Wind vary constantly hydro if the ocean is involved is the most reliable renewable source. Nuclear power plants for example cost roughly 9 billion per 1,100 MW. It would cost 1.1 trillion in nuclear plant builds alone to offset the private transportation grid alone. Let alone the up keep and grid portion. Average US house electric bill is 117 dollars the average us electric bill will be 155+ without charging the car. Current price of the KWH is 13.31 cents increase that by 33 percent its now 14.64 cents a kwh. A current electric vehicle will cost 678 dollars a year to charge. Add the increase from utilities your looking at 1134 dollars a year ASSUMING its only a 33 percent increase. States tax gas for road rebuilding what and how are they going to compensate for this lol. They'll increase residential and commercial taxes which will be even worse for the average US individual. A gas car getting 25 mpg will cost 1620 a year at 3.0 a gallon and this includes all the state tax hikes. Seems politically motivated to me and we are all screwed in this political game its a joke. Itll be interesting to see but the math just doesnt add up at this time</p></blockquote><p></p>
