Was looking through the new Owner's Manual for the 2020 GT350 and came across recommended oil for 2020. The first is Ford is now says 5w50 oil must meet the WSS-M2C931-C spec OR that it meets API SN requirements. The second part is that in cold temps it is recommended that a 0W40 oil meeting WSS-M2C937-A specs be used. These are big changes.

I'd throw in some of that new 0W-16 spec'd oil headed out way next spring.

I think there's even 0W-8 coming out. Maybe give that a try as well.

All of the posts about this seem to miss the graph on the Owner's Supplement page after the paragraph that says you can use 0w40 in low temperatures. That's the graph that shows how low "low temperature" really is. It's only recommended for temperatures below 20 degrees F. That means that if it's so cold that you have to take off and store your MPSC2's, then you can run 0w40, at least until the temperature soars back up to 21F.
