*** NOTE: the 13/14 tail lights and the Moroso "The Tank" intercooler/radiator reservoir do not come with the sale. They will be pulled and sold separately and replaced with the originals. I'm open to discussing options if they appeal to you. ***
FOR SALE
2011 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 with SVT Performance Package and Navigation
14,126 miles
Sterling Gray Metallic, stripe delete
Clean CarFax. Never wrecked. Never smoked in. Clear title in my possession. Located in Atlanta, GA.
It is with a heavy heart that I am listing my GT500 for sale. I didn’t think there would ever come a day, but life happens so to speak. (More on that below.)
Here is some of the information that I seek when considering buying a car and, as such, have provided it back here to the prospective buyer, who may be from out of town.
Why am I selling? A unique/rare vehicle came up for sale locally that I could not pass up. Unfortunately, I can’t keep both!!! Dang it, if someone could figure out that "money growing on tree" thing I would really appreciate it! LOL!
Are there any issues mechanically, electrically or otherwise with the car? None. Just buy it and drive it!
What is the history of the car? I am the 2nd owner of the vehicle. I bought it used, bone stock, off the showroom floor from a Ford dealer outside of Chicago roughly two years ago. It had approximately 6k miles on it at the time. I have all the associated paperwork and dealer pictures, as well as some videos I had them take. The drive home put on roughly 1k miles.
What is the condition of the car? Excellent. I hate to sound like a used car salesman, but you would be hard pressed to find a cleaner, nicer, and better maintained GT500. The car really does not need a thing other than a loving owner to make it their own and enjoy it to its fullest.
How have I used the car? It has been my weekend fun car. It has never been to a drag strip or race track. I have never dumped the clutch or even done a burn out. It has never been abused. I do not beat on my stuff, I take care of it, probably to a fault! In any case, I have enjoyed it for car shows, spirited driving around town and a few weekend runs in the mountains of north GA, TN and NC.
Here are some specifics. Any mods I have done myself.
Engine
- stock, never tuned
- only “mod” is a JLT catch can I installed shortly after I bought it
Exhaust
I replaced the OEM axle-backs with Borla S-type axle-backs ($700) – they sound awesome IMHO
Suspension
- Eibach Pro Kit lowering springs ($300) (I have the OEM springs if that is of interest)
- Steeda adjustable panhard bar ($100) (I have the OEM panhard bar if that is of interest)
- BMR lower control arm relocation brackets ($100)
Wheels and Tires (all bought new)
- Vossen VFS1 wheels -- 20x9 front, 20x10.5 rear. The wheels are mint other than one extremely small chip in the passenger side rear wheel.
- Michelin Pilot Super Sports tires -- 275/35-20 front, 295/35-20 rear
- Both wheels and tires have 6k miles on them. Tires basically look new and have PLENTY 'o tread left.
- I did A LOT of research in order to execute the suspension, wheel and tire combo to achieve the stance you see in the pics.
Exterior
- Excellent condition. Has never spent a night outside, always garage kept. Has only seen rain a couple of times when I got caught out in it.
- I had the entire front of the vehicle covered with a SunTek clear bra ($1,600) shortly after I bought it. All front bumper fascia (including headlights), hood, front fenders, pillars and 10” on front of roof have been covered.
- There is one small imperfection on the rear driver’s side quarter panel that was there when I bought it.
- The dealer I bought it from drilled the front bumper unfortunately.
- Has side scoops, 1/4 window louvers (with interior black out pads) and custom white "SHELBY" stickers on the front chin spoiler
Interior – mint. Regular, not Recaro, seats.
Fog lights – I replaced the OEM lights with Diode Dynamics LEDs (H16 XML2) (I have the OEM lights if that is of interest)
Maintenance
All current or better than OEM intervals. I have all paperwork.
- Oil changed every 6 months per owner’s manual w/ OEM spec oil (Motorcraft) (self)
- At 7k miles, fuel filter replaced (have receipt) and rear diff fluid changed (self)
- At 8k miles, flushed the brake fluid (self) and replaced the OEM brake pads with Autozone Duralast Max pads (self) (to cut down on brake dust; I kept the OEM pads and you are welcome to have them)
- At 11k, coolant flushed, transmission fluid changed, and new Ford battery (dealer; have receipt)
$34,900
Feel free to PM me, or call or text me at 404-290-3942.
Thanks,
Kris
