Hello from far far away :D
I'm coming to you guys living in the land of the mustang with what may seem as an odd question.
Of the three famous ones named in the ingress, wich one in your opinion is the best "tweeker" of original Mustangs?
There may of course be moore than the famous 3... Please educate me

Well you forgot the most famous which is Shelby. And yes they’re are still Shelby modified mustangs built by Shelby and not Ford. There’s also Steeda, Shinoda, and Sherrod. Though Sherrod is basically a dress up. You can’t really go wrong with any of them in my book, all depends on what you like. Personally, I would look hard at Roush but I might be biased, with owning 2.

Of those choices, Roush. Chip Foose is a hell of a guy though. I met him years ago on a flight out of Denver and he invited me out to his shop. A few days later I called him up and dropped by. He took a good solid 90 minutes out of his very busy day just to show me around and talk cars.

There is one very important detail that you did not qualify, what time period? Today or in the past, and if the past when, fox, SN-95, or S197?

Hi Recon, and thanks for a good reply.
I did not forget Caroll Shelby, but I consider him to be in a league of his own and there's no doubt about his merrits.

I think time period is of little relevance since as time goes on the "tweeking" goodies also evolve. So, with the "tweeking" tools of the spesific period, who's the best?
Now I recognise that Foose probably did not tweek any fox bodys, but corrections are welcomed =)

I guess I dont entirely agree. In the Fox era, Saleen was on a tear. There were others like JBA, Kenny Brown etc, but Saleen was really on their own (they built thousands). This continues through SN-95, the S-351 era. I think they slipped moving into S197, especially in the Revstone days (Saleen lost his branding name for the 1st time). During this period, I feel Roush has been delivering a more compelling product.

Now that sounds like truly a nice guy. That must have been a fun experience.

IMO, of the three mentioned, Roush is on top. But as mentioned, you really have to include Shelby.

Okay, so now there's a pre and post china Saleen.
Uneducated guess...post china Saleen will drop like a rock in water on the "like" scale of pony lovers.

As someone I think mentioned, Saleen hasn’t really be irrelevant as it once was. You don’t see a newer product line being pushed or Steve making as many appearances across the lands. At one time, he frequently attended Sturgis Mustang Rally. Granted he’s diversified his portfolio but with this latest China is Steve Saleen now.

Foose does amazing work to cars but his mustangs dont belong in the same category as roush or saleen, or even steeda.
