I had some very promising results last night. My first pass ever with the VMP Gen 3 TVS was a 5.83 @ 120.93, hitting the brakes at the 1/8th. 2500' d.a. 69mm upper / stock lower.

I got a tune rev via Palm Beach Dyno Live Track Side Support (Thanks Rob Shoemaker!) and went back out for a full pass. The track was going away as it was late. I spun and that makes the car short shift. Even so, it still went a 5.89 @ 120 / 9.15 @ 153. At 2400'.

How much boost was this? Just saw your other thread where you went 9.2@151 on the ported gen 2. Do you plan to pulley down more? 153 trap in the summer at altitude is impressive. Come fall she will be in the 8s trapping 155 .

This was 2500' vs the Gen 2 at 1000'. The Gen 3 made a little more boost, but it's just before the shift.

I don't think I will pulley down more. I have a 66 & 63 tested and at the ready, but think the 69 will get it done no problem. I'm on the same belt I put on in May. 6 rib.

Thank you for the kind words. I can't believe these blowers do what they do.

Are you trusting your aluminator guessing (un-sleeved) at that power level? Very, very quick btw, Awesome!
I am long enough to make an 8 second pass. I'm currently saving for a sleeved bottom end. Not sure if I'll pull the trigger or not though, may sit on the cash. The plan is to go 1/8th mile only if/after the 8.

I especially like the 1.3 60' using the stock converter! Is the trans still factory, or has it been strengthened?
Thanks! It's a ton of fun being that's it's so tight and that the TVS is so responsive.

After 5 years of passes and street use, I finally had it built last winter, just as a precaution as I drive my car to the track. The clutches still had quite a bit of life left in them, per the builder.

with that kind of power he could be a the tail end of a stock block with H beams and a decent piston. Much further will require a sleeved block with i beams.

I'm on a Gen 1 Aluminator. Non-sleeved, but it does have Boss head gaskets and ARP studs. I'm going 1/8th mile only going forward, so I'm going back and forth on removing a healthy shortblock. I don't beat on it on the street. It only ever sees wot in 2nd to about 7k.

I'm definitely at a crossroads.
