I changed oil on the R today. It may have been its first oil change, not sure...? I put the factory spec Mobil 15W-50 back in it. That stuff is thick!

I pulled the splitter to get the car up on ramps.

Man do I love your Cobra R. What a gorgeous car.

How often do you plan on changing your oil?

Did it have a generic gray filter? That's usually the sign of un changed since new. Could be different on an R, mine had been changed for sure.

I have a big new garage I recently built and will be adding some lifts in it this year. I plan to start with a 2-post and then possibly add a 4-post as well.

According to the 00R owner's supplement, the filter for these cars is the Motorcraft FL820S, which is white. That's what was on the car.

Good question and I don't know is the short answer. The car has about 850 miles on it and I drive it very rarely (just to exercise it). I'm sure I will probably leave the oil in it for a couple years.

What specracer was saying is the first oil filter on the car from the factory is a gray unmarked filter.

If you already had a white FL820 on it, then the oil has already been changed at least once by the previous owner.

I still have my gray oil filter & original battery saved from my '95R #142. Under 8K on the clock.
