If only I had a source of E85 close to me. Would love to get my R (when I get it) on E85 and throw some LTs on there and see what it does

Looks like you do. I have to travel 6 miles to get my E85, but its worth it.

Near Berwyn, PA:

Dileo Auto Service
2233 W Main St
Jeffersonville, PA 19403
Phone: 610-539-5308
Fuel: Ethanol (E85)
Distance: 7.0 mi

Cant wait for some track numbers. This car is going to love gear.

my car is going to be a track car and street fun vehicle. I believe this high rpm beast needs the gears, do not mind quick shifting while pulling hard. All motor, no blower. at least 4.30's maybe 4.56.
does any company offer 4.56 gears for the newer mustangs?

Very impressive. Did lund end up taking this car to Cecil today? Really curious on results. I see this car trapping really fast. Especially at Cecil in this air. Probably about 3-4 mph over the norm lol

The best Lund trapped was 123 with the E85 tune. Evo did 121 stock with drag radials. The best time of the day so far is 11.96 by Evo. Track prep isn't great today. Everybody I've talked to is running slow.

I have looked at that station before and while it says 7 miles, that is using a straight line from A to B. With the roads to get there its almost 14 miles each way and stop and go 95% of the way :(. I've heard rumors that some E85 may be closer but nothing substantiated

Track as in 1/4, or track as in turns? If its 1/4 then sure, take the gearing, but in the turns its not going to help. If we're both going down the straight in identical GT350s save for the gearing, and i can just use 1 gear for the whole thing, whereas you will have to upshift on the straight, and then downshift for the upcoming corner i am going to be faster than you.

Its your money and your car, by all means do with it what you want, i just wouldnt put that steep of a gear in a car that is going to see corners.

Dude, please. Don't you know that there's no such thing as a track with turns? Geez! Don't be dumb.
Don't be so silly. Obviously you need a return road after the 1/4 mi run to get back to the starting line, duh. Plenty of turns on that, that's atleast two whole turns to get back lined up!

OK so 11.96@121 stock on drag radials and on E85 it went 123? What was ET?

Lund trapped 123, but only managed a 12.1. Poor track prep seems to be the main culprit. The 11.96 run was at 116MPH, but the same car did trap 121 on one of its 12.0 runs.

Yup, that's what happened.

Yes I meant 1/4 mile straight line, puling hard, shifting racing. My car may not ever see a circle track. who knows.
