I have been looking for a classic ford truck for awhile. I finally got a 76 f250 highboy. I am a bit excited. 21k miles original paint

Congrats! Looks great! Ran into a guy yesterday with a black Model T in front of his friend's driveway. With wooden wheel spokes.

That was an awesome find. Congratulations. I like the '70s period (and original) paint. Nice looking truck! And it looks to be in really great shape. Kind of unusual for an older truck. Enjoy it!!

NICE!! Love the Dentside Fords! We'll definitely need more pics! 360 or 390? Manual or auto?
I'd love to see it with some vintage aftermarket wheels...but with low miles & factory paint, I don't think you want to take a chance of paint damage from wide wheels...

Besides, it looks pretty tough as is with the stock knobby pie cutters under it!

Any plans for it...? Or just going to enjoy it as is?
Are the wheels 16.5's? If you want to save the tires(16.5's are getting impossible to find...)
'90's F250-350 E250-350 16x7 Accuride steel wheels have a nice vintage vibe, are readily available and cheap.
Here's a pic of some on a '77 with 285/75/16 BFG KM2's(not my truck)

I plan to leave it original as possible. The split rims are 16”. But I probably will try to get some regular wheels. It’s got original paint in decent condition with wear and dings that give it character. Tires are really old. But I want similar style.

I don't blame you for leaving it alone, must be like going back in time when you drive it!
Are there 8.25-16's or 7.50-16's on it now? Simple Tire has Destone D503's that look similar are are priced somewhat reasonable.
Been a while since I've driven on a bias plys. On vehicles that sit around...it takes a while for the flat spots to work out and become round again!

Simple Tire has them available through Amazon. If you look at the reviews, one of the reviewers claims that they are "Good reproduction of vintage firestone tires for 1976 highboy"
