[QUOTE="Blkkbgt, post: 16563040, member: 117234"] There is a spring loaded plunger at the end of the filler neck inside the tank. Basically it caps off the filler neck after your done filling up and also makes it harder to siphon gas out. I believe the tank vents this was as well when you fill up. This could be at least partially wrong but I am sure someone will correct me. My guess is that the spring is corroded from sitting or has jammed in some way and is not fully opening during fueling. That bad part is that the tank has to come down and you'll at least need a new gasket to pull and inspect it. I don’t know of or see how you'd be able to shove anything down there to test it. If you drop the tank make sure you have the good metal fuel line disconnect tools and replace your filter while your there. Also be cautious of everything your doing and work in a well ventilated area. Partially lowering the tank and siphoning out the gas through the fuel pump opening helps when fully pulling the tank.
