So as you can tell by the tittle I am fed the **** up with FedEx. For me they have been the absolute worst to deal with of the big three.

This all began about a year ago when they forged a family members signature and left a package on their doorstep which was then stolen.

After this not only did they deny my claim to be reimbursed they also told me that the driver was allowed to forge the signature due to covid restrictions. They told me I should not have been given the option in the first place.

After that they damaged an engine block I bought. Luckily the company I bought it from made things right and they went after FedEx.

Now we get to this most recent incident. I purchased an item on ebay that I wouldn't need for 2 whole weeks. It shipped on the 11th of October. 3 days later it had made it to the main distribution hub 35 miles from my house. I figured I'd have it no later then Wednesday that next week, way before I actually needed it.

Wrong! This thing bounced on and off delivery truck after delivery truck. I call their BS customer service in what I believe to be India. Sorry but you're full of shit Megan, that's not your real ****ing name!

All they do is apologize over and over and lie. I had to talk to a manager to get a package trace done. But that was zero help as the package just kept showing on and off the truck.

I called customer service again a week later and asked if I could go pick it up. NOPE! They won't even give me the address of where it's at.

Here is what the most frustrating part about this specific ordeal. They were delivering other packages for my wife but wouldn't put my one small box on any of those same trucks! Talk about a ****ing joke.

Customer service tried to tell me that those packages were ahead of mine because they were shipped before. I flat out told them they were lying because I knew they were not. All I get is more apologies.

Finally yesterday out of nowhere my package shows up. The box is only lightly wrinkled and luckily it was packaged well and wasn't damaged.

I have had other incidents with them over the last year but these are the worst of them.

So I am ****ing DONE with FedEx! Unless I have no other choice I will not buy anything from any company that uses them exclusively. This company is a total joke and I sincerely wish that more companies would drop them. I am willing to go so far as to pay more then deal with them.

End RANT.

I feel your pain. My dad always told me the distribution center his packages go through lost packages constantly, I didn’t realize how bad it was until I moved close to him now my packages go through the same center and have had nothing but issues.

Last time I had ordered a gun and it’s showing at the local distribution center I’m expecting it at my FFL next day but it never shows. I gave it 2 days before calling. They said it had been misplaced and didn’t know where it was but would look into it. I asked them if there was anyone I needed to contact since it appeared they had lost a firearm and that wouldn’t be good to have floating around wherever. After a short hold they miraculously found my package and told me it would be delivered next day to FFL.

Can't you have them not deliver and they hold at a place and you come and pick it up? I've done that with both FedEx and UPS.

No not in this case. I specifically asked for a hold so I could go get it and they said that location does not allow customer pickup. They wouldn't even give me the address.

Everyone has been a little off for me lately but fed ex is definitely ****ing up the most
The funny thing is USPS and UPS have been damn near perfect when compared to FedEx. The worst I've seen from either was a package that showed delivered on their site that didn't show up until the next day. That's nothing in comparison to what I've seen from FedEx.

Doesn't allow customer pick up...
I wonder why that is. Probably lack of staffing maybe.

My phone went on the fritz early last week, so I contacted Apple to get a replacement sent out. I have been in Nashville since Wednesday so I asked Apple to send it to my hotel. It has been sitting at the FedEx distribution center here since Friday at noon, never made it onto a truck for delivery, and we are checking out this morning to go back home. I can’t wait to try and sort this one out. FedEx absolutely sucks

I had a similar issue with FedEx a couple of months ago. The tracking showed it was going everywhere but to my local delivery hub. Any fool could see that something was wrong. It took almost two weeks for it to be delivered. Yes, they use outsourced customer service reps based in India and the Philippines, just to name two. Which means the service sucks! Talking to a "supervisor" is a joke because you'll usually get an outsourced supervisor from India as well. You can, however, specifically request a U.S. rep and that does help.....for now. I remember having a 20 minute talk with a FedEx supervisor/manager who promised me she would call me back the next day as a follow up. I flat out told here that I hope that actually happens because me experience is that 90% of the time there is never a call back. As I expected, no call back. Thankfully 3 days later the package arrived.

I had another FedEx issue with a package that I sent. Same horrible customer service. I then made a decision to never use them again. Now I only use UPS or USPS.

I dont know but using Google maps I was able find a FedEx location that looked like a distribution center based on all the trucks and its size.

From what I could tell there was no way to access the building unless you worked there.

What really shocked me was that they wouldn't even give me the address.

USPS and local FedEx to me is pretty good. USPS packages are in the best condition and cleanest of the big three.
Our normal FedEx driver, actually a contractor, is a good guy. Single dad. Last week I called FedEx to compliment him. For the last 1-3/4 years he's just been plugging along.

Local UPS is poor. Packages are normally pretty beat-up and absolutely filthy. They normally get hauled into our garage and opened there. Don't they ever clean their conveyors, carts, or trucks?

4 days before my package showed up it magically showed up back in Sacramento at the main hub. This was after their site said it was on a truck for delivery. It supposedly sat in Sacramento and then was magically delivered.

Our experiences with their customers service are all to similar. It has to be the absolute worst I've experienced.

I could write a damn book on FedEx. There are some companies I have ceased doing business with because that it is the only option for shipping, and FedEx here is totally incompetent. I have had stuff lost for weeks, returned, sent to the wrong damn state....the list goes on. Well over a dozen events. I would not trust FedEx to manage an outhouse.

What happened? They didn't use to be like this!

I am right there with you. Unless I literally have no other choice I will not buy a single thing from any company that uses them exclusively.

I too would like to know what happened. I used to use them a lot because their rates were better than UPS and they tended to deliver a day earlier.

If I had to venture a guess they have fallen victim to Six Sigma or other "operational efficiency" programs that brain wash management into thinking they actually CAN get blood out of a turnip. Most of the corporate bean counters have drunk the kool-aid that says efficiency = head-count reductions, which completely misses the point. I rarely see those things used correctly.

My negative experiences with shipping companies is always UPS. My brother works for them and he tells me how they handle packages and says I’m lucky I even got my package in that good of condition. It’s like they push productivity to empty the planes/trucks so fast that they don’t care about quality control. It’s part of the reason I’ll pay more to buy locally in person. I hate online shopping.
