Dodge had a good take rate with the V8 Dakota, even with the 5.9 as an option. Colorado only had the V8 in very limited trim levels.
I saw veeeery few Dakota's compared to Colorado's/Rangers. Which is probably why it's been dead 10 years

A Maverick X3 will be more capable for 25k... Just sayin' unless you plan to go spec racing among the 10 other people that run that class.

I don't.

But it would be a nice write off, and a blast to drive.

Not to mention, I can throw a dealer plate on it, and drive it on the street :)

That makes sense, if you can street drive it then game on. What are the legal limitations on the D plate?

Really, not a lot. In Missouri, as long as it runs and drives basically. Tires can't be too bare, brakes have to be 3/4mm+, etc. But nothing too stringent. A d tag is basically considered a transit tag as well.
