So that this doesn't get lost in the bickering in the other thread, I figured I'd start a new one. Congratulations guys!

Evo's New Best in the 2016 Shelby GT350 - 11.76@118MPH. No changes that I know of from last time. DRs and BMR lockout kit are all that's done.

The car weighed 4,025lbs with driver.

I dont know the drag strip or the prep but one wants to be in the 1.6x range with the 60ft time on sticky tires. At 1.77 there is much room for improvement.

119 is where stock mph should be though.

I agree, but I figured this may shut up some whiners.

They improved the 60' by .1 and the ET by .2 over previous. Shows how accurate that old saying is. "Every tenth in the 60' is worth two tenths in the ET."

Better numbers... But 4025lb race weight.... Yikes!!!!! What does the car weigh minus the driver? That's heavy.

3,798lbs. full of gas is what the tech pack weighs.

3,791 for the track pack
~3,750 for the base
3,703 for the R with electronics
3,650 for the R without electronics

funny how this is some how fast if ford build the car but if this were a dodge or GM car everybody would be jumping up and down. ohh they had DR and race gas, bla bla

I am in the middle it is decent but nothing earth shattering for DR, race gas, tune, etc.

I guess with the price I just had this hope that it would have a bit more than a C7 but not sure it does.

I just found out today that it was a race gas tune. Just more proof that this isn't a stock drag car. I still don't care.

I am not sure I do either I just do like both acceleration and handling so I am pretty sure I am going to want a tick more acceleration than it has as delivered. I think as long as the drive train is reliable full exhaust, tune, etc this car will be a blast.

my only issue is since motor and tranny are first year I am not sure I want to be the guy that tests how strong they are ha ha. I wwould not be buying till feb or march so I have some time to watch and see how that goes.

118 modified, with DRs, at a real track, known for the best performance, in perfect weather, in 2015 is pretty bad. IMHO.

Car and Driver got 119 out of a stock M4. Generally a performance shop at a real track will destroy "main stream magazine" times.

I know, I know road race car...

Lund went 123 at this track with a tune.

Isn't that somewhat competitive with a 11-12 GT500 with a tune?

In any case, 118 with mods isn't impressive.

I still think they're having issues with the launch. 1.77 60' on DRs isn't good. I don't care if they're supposed to be experienced, something's not right there. Stock tune MPH for them was as high as 121. Now, they're at 118 on a race gas tune? Seems like it's bogging to me.
