Nice write up. I have my mod sitting in a box in my closet. next nice day and ill have to get it done. Btw guys about how long did it take you from beginning to end ?

Glad to see this thread still being used! As mentioned above, it really doesn't take long. When i did it on my second cobra it went REALLY fast. Don't bother with removing the restrictor on the heater core side. I skipped it the second time around. It really isn't worth the hassle :beer:

Hate to bump an ancient thread but I've only had my cobra for a few months.

Anyways my frost plug is not coming out very easily and I have already scored the bore due to my own carelessness(if that's even a word). I will get the SOB out eventually I've already read many tips on that.

My real question is Im curious whether anyone has ditched lethals fitting that goes into the bore in favour of tapping the hole with pipe thread? I'm worried the o ring won't be enough to seal it now that the bore is scored. Thanks for any replies.
