EPAS Steering Question

I'm about to order a SHO with the 402B package. I did test drive a performance package one as well, but decided I really wanted the luxury items (shade, blis, pedal adjust, etc....).

Anyway, the one thing I did like better in the Perf Package was the Sport Calibrated steering. I don't know much (really anything) about how it works, but is it possible to calibrate the steering after the fact so it's tighter like the sport package?

Thanks!

It might be possible with programming, but more than likely is they put different servos in the steering motor and a different gear ratio in the rack for the perf package, so would probably have to swap steering racks. Not much is known about how the EPAS sytem works in the public yet, so we'll have to wait and see.

edit: According to Ford's tech specs on the new SHO, the steering gear ratio is common, but the calibration is different for the 12S, so you still might be able get away with just a programmer. (2010 Ford Taurus SHO Tech Specs)
