The past few months have been interesting and frustrating chasing the engine leaks I had. I have now proved that full synthetic does indeed leak through a seal before a semi does. I can replace a pan gasket without removing K member or motor. "The Right Stuff" is a better gasket maker than the Ford product and half the price.

I am happy to say I took the car for 150 mile drive and this morning instead of the usual 3-4 tablespoons of oil on the ground ( this was also previous to changing rear main) there was only a pin drop. The only way I can fix that one will be to pull motor and change front cover. All I can say is be careful puttiing a tranny in to not nick rear main seal and do not rest engine on oil pan or anything else that will distort it.
