Hi everyone.

I'm at a bit of a cross roads here. I'm looking to make a paint decision on my "build." At this point I would prefer not to paint the blower case itself but I am not completely against it.

I am just trying to decide on the inlet color.

Polished items:
front half of the IAC
throttle body
blower pulley

wrinkle black items:
valve covers
lower intake
base of blower
upper pulley bridge
coolant cross over
inter cooler boss (bolted to front of intake)

currently gloss black items:
rails
blower and throttle brackets
all fittings in engine bay (changing the blue and red to black as well)

(update as I write this.. someone sent me a pic of a wrinkle black inlet on a older 2.8 which has turned purple and i hope mine does not)

Are you going to be "smoothing" the engine bay?
If you are you should get it painted body color with a semi gloss clear.
That would be a good compromise. It would still look "correct" color wise and by being semi gloss it wouldn't detract from the attention the engine should be getting.
As long as you are not going to paint the engine and all the accessories the same color. Because that would make the engine just disappear.

I am not. The paint looks pretty decent in the engine compartment with all the pieces in place. Ill be honest and say it could use a good cleaning though.

Thank you for the insight :)
