I've replaced the entire suspension on the car. But it's not drivable here. SC roads, plus the extra underbody metal work for the convertible is a deadly combo. The front is just too low. Hitting the slightest dip at 60 will rattle the teeth out of your head.

H&R Sport lowers the front 1.6". Is there an option between stock and 1.6" that anyone can recommend?

H&R Sport springs
Bilstein B8 (SP) Struts
Complete FTB IRS kit
Ball joints & all bushings

Can't help with your question, but what is the extra underbody metal work for the convertible? I never heard of this, the only difference I know of is the OEM bolt in subframe connectors.

Yep, that - the OEM bolt in subframe connectors. They are the lowest point on the underside, and have met the blacktop several times now.

When you get your suspension figured out the first thing you should do is pull the OEM subframe connectors and put in a weld in set. That alone will remove 75+% of the squeaks and rattles, should be the first mod on any new edge convertible.

The x brace also hits for me. I’m low like you but I don’t have too many issues.
I don’t know of any springs as I haven’t looked in several years.

Do you have spring isolators on the top and bottom of the spring? Are they poly urethane? Poly isolators tend to be thicker than stock rubbers and might add a 1/4in or so…

Maximum Motorsport urethane upper & lower spring isolators front & back.

The back actually sits a little higher than I like, but that may be a good thing because I haven't ripped my Borla exhaust off yet.

Hmmm, is @COBRA_ESQ's post being missed? It's a fact. The factory (convertible) MID-LENGTH subframe connectors are pretty much useless, AND they're the lowest contact point in your Cobra. It makes zero sense to keep the factory subframe connectors. Replace them with a welded-in FULL-LENGTH set that actually do stiffen the chassis. They will eliminate many creaks and groans as well as.

DO IT! (y) This first mod (needed regardless) might just eliminate your need to upgrade your springs or do coil-overs.

I have Eibach Pro-kit with oem bilsteins on my 01 car with isolators. I feel it's a good compromise between looks and ride quality.
