Egr delete 99 cobra

I deleted egr valve, pipe and control solenoid when doing engine rebuild.
Was able to turn off egr so no check engine light.
But reads not ready during houston inspection.
Is there anyway to correct this like I would on rear o2s other than reinstalling all the hardware which is a pita with engine in car

I'm trying to find the post, but I talked to someone that has a set up to bypass the EGR. It has to be turned back on in the tune. But I think It was a matter of plugging the DPFE in and then having one side connected to intake manifold vacuum and the other side to fresh air or to the intake. It needs to see a difference in order to operate and set the monitor I think.
