Now, for owners of the latest Mustangs, there is a new option for adding boost—<a href="http://edelbrock.com/" target="_blank">Edelbrock</a>’s E-Force Supercharger. This system is now available for owners of 2015-2016 Mustang GTs that could use 690 to 732 horsepower. Depending on what Stage you order, the kits also pack a powertrain warranty and emissions legality.</p><p></p><p>“These E-Force systems are the first to feature the new DP-3C intercooler. DP-3C references the ‘Dual-Pass Three Core’ design. With this new design, the intake air charge passes through the intercooler twice; first pass is from the rotors up through the center core and the second pass is when the air charge goes down into the runners,” says Edelbrock. “The DP-3C intercooler also features 45 percent more surface area over the previous Mustang designs, allowing this system to achieve lower intake air temps for increased power output.”</p><p></p><p><a href="http://www.edelbrock.com/automotive/mc/superchargers/ford-mustang.shtml" target="_blank">Edelbrock’s supercharger systems</a> are available in three stages. The Stage 1 kit promises 690 horsepower and 588 lb-ft of torque and can be purchased with (PN 1586) and without a tuner (PN 15860). Those seeking more power can opt for the Stage 2 Street System (PN 15862). It includes a tuner and is said to deliver 732 horsepower and 690 lb-ft of torque. Those ready to supply their own custom calibrations and supporting hardware can opt for the Stage 3 Pro-Tuner System Without Tuner (PN 15863).</p><p></p><p>“The Stage 1 system includes everything you need to bolt it on under the hood, including supercharger/manifold assembly, air-to-water intercooler system and a handheld programmer to properly tune the factory ECU for the added power.” the company added. “The Stage 2 system includes all of the same components, plus a larger bore throttle body, cold air intake system, higher output fuel pump and 60 lb/hr injectors to support the added performance. Stage 2 components also available as an upgrade kit for those who already own a Stage 1 kit.”</p><p></p><p>Both the Stage 1 and 2 systems will carry 50-state emissions legality with a pending California Air Resources Board Executive Order Number.
