However, those squirters aren’t the only new Ford offering from the company. Knowing that performance enthusiasts are squeezing a lot more power out of EcoBoost engines, DeatschWerks developed high-flow fuel injectors for 2.0-, 2.3- and 3.5-liter EcoBoost engines.</p><p></p><p>Designed to work in F-150s, Focus STs, Mustangs and Taurus SHOs, these injectors are available under two part numbers—one for the four-cylinder engines (PN <a href="http://www.deatschwerks.com/products/fuel-injectors/modern-muscle/ford/mustang-ecoboost/2015/ecoboost-injectors-1-detail" target="_blank">19s-01-1700-4</a>; $639) and one for the six-cylinder engines (PN <a href="http://www.deatschwerks.com/products/fuel-injectors/modern-muscle/ford/f-series-150-250/ecoboost-f-150/ecoboost-injectors-detail" target="_blank">19s-00-1700-6</a>; $949).</p><p></p><p>“The HDEV1700 is a drop-in fitment for many applications, which utilize the Bosch HDEV5 injector platform. This includes the popular 2.0-, 2.3- and 3.5-liter Ford EcoBoost engines,” says the company. “The new injector flows 1700cc/min at 100 bar of fuel pressure which is more than a 30-percent increase in flow over the stock EcoBoost injectors. The patent-pending process used in this injector allows for increased flow while retaining the OE spray pattern, which maximizes fuel economy, emissions, and driveability.”</p><p></p><p>One of the test vehicles for these injectors was none other than the world’s <a href="http://www.svtperformance.com/2015/10/16/news-first-10-second-ecoboost-mustang/" target="_blank">first 10-second EcoBoost Mustang</a> piloted by <a href="http://www.bgracingparts.com" target="_blank">BG Racing</a>’s Brad Gusler.
