Now I'm really confused. I was going to install a 3" pulley, but some of the tuning shops say 2.8. My question is what are safe parameters for the bearings on the Eaton?

Porting the blower is a must if your not going turbo or KB/Whipple! It also relieves some boost/ heat. On the port, i've been more than happy with my 2.76 and 2lb. lower. One guy locally has been running that on a stock blower, however i wouldn't recommend it. I'll be getting a 4lb. lower soon and sticking with the 2.76 upper. Doug is the only vendor that i've called tonight that picked up the phone for me, in addition... the first time i called!

Wow its scary to think that by adding a 4lb lower to my 2.75 upper, I'll be overdriving it by 50%! I believe I have heard that the red zone is around 18k for the stock eaton...
