Does anyone know what sensor goes here
and is it needed for a 03 GT or can I delete it

thats where the MAP sensor goes and no it has to be there. thats the sensor that pretty much tells the pcm what to do along with the O2 sensors atleast on a cobra. custom tuning maybe able to delete it where fuel trims and timing maybe able to be adjusted to achieve the same affect, the same way adding any other turbo/supercharger to a normally N/A car would.

it is actually called a TMAP sensor per the ford service manual - measures both manifold pressure as well as air charge temperature (IAT2).
