I'm wondering where I can actually get E85 in the winter. I'm sending my car to be worked on and to have it converted to E85. Unfortunatly we are in January and the E85 here is a Winter blend so its really E77. Does anyone know where I can either buy a small amount say 10-15 gallons or if I can special order it just for Tunning purposes. i'm in the Metro Detroit area.

Just tune it on the E77 and run it a little rich and you will be fine. I would tune E77 to around 11.4 A/F on a gas scale or .779 Lambda

Then with the summer blend, it will go up to around 11.7 A/F or .799 Lambda.

how about mixing some and checking it ? I am in macomb twp mi as well as i can converting it. I have the tube to check the ethanol content. i was going to start with pump e 85 and mix it up to like e 80 because that is realistic to what we will recieve up here in the winter. i just don't like guessing because it could be a expensive mistake! what do you think?
