I would like to see what others are running as far as timing goes with a supercharged 4.6 dohc on E85. I am still on the bone stock motor with a KB 2.1 running 11 lbs. Tuner says my timing is at 17 deg., at my most recent dyno session i was making 430 rwhp and 402 torque. Those number seem kinda low to me and I am wondering if it's due mainly to the timing.

Yep. Way low. I was on 17* on 91 and 15psi.

Think I’m at 22 or so on 20psi and E85

Thank you guys for the responses. This car is non intercooler as it's a B headed car so I am guessing that's why the tuner made the timing so conservative. Out of curiosity does anyone have a guess at the difference 3 or 4 degrees of timing will make?

10-20hp/degree depending.
I had assumed stock bottom end and non intercooled were the reasons, but if IATs ok, and you’re only on 11#, then you probably have an easy 50rwhp on the table.

E85 and timing with no other changes results in @50rwhp if you peruse the distillery threads

Received a new tune and it has the timing at 20 deg. , tuner added timing and took about 2% fuel away. At WOT that puts me in the 7.7 afr on an e85 scale, is that safe enough or would a little more fuel be better? With the new tune the car is running much better at WOT.

My car is slightly different, but here are my results. Stock motor 2004 auto Mach with a Vortech at 11psi. On 93 with 11.25* of timing the car made 460. On E85 with 13.75* the car made 508. For a non forged motor with a non cooled pd blower i think 11psi and 17* is right where you want to be. The numbers do sound a bit low for a 4v.
