dyno tune on a stock Cobra

Hey fellow CObra owners-
question..im contemplating getting my speedo recalibrated with a chip instead of the speed cal so I can get a dyno tune as well..(when i get my gears).

like i asked on the crazy horse site, is there any HP gain to be had on a bone stock 01 cobra....? I figure get the chip now ..the car will have a sc eventually..after i do the suspension.

I dont know if I have ever seen a dyno tune on just a bone stock cobra..wondering what your thoughts are.

I would have to say yes, there is some hp to be gained on a stock cobra with a chip....the chip will allow the car to run a more aggressive timing curve, provided a high octane fuel will always be used, and we all know, a timing adjuster from steeda will give about 10 hp, with the timing advanced a few degrees, just make sure you run a good brand of fuel, of the highest octane they sell, to avoid detonation, and the chip can be used to correct for gear ratio replacement.
