Guys I have my dyno max mini race bullets about 20 inches before the axle I got a set of 12 inch long 3 inch diameter turndowns I’m going to install. My question is would it sound better straight to the ground or kicked out about 45 degrees?

I think straight down would be best. That's what I've always done.

Pointed down will create the most noise because of echo but it will also increase resonance, I know the dynomax bullets don't really drone though.

Based on 939's photo, angled outward would put the exhaust heat right on your tires, nobody wants that so downward is the move.

You just reminded me I need to order one of those reinforced diff covers, I think that's where the housing usually warps.

I always had mine pointed at a slight angle when I ran dumps on my fox body and 2001 GT. I didn’t notice any sound difference between angled and straight down. Whichever one is easiest for you. My dad runs his straight down on his 67 Comet.

I went with about a 30-40 degree angle the sound still hits the ground and bounces out and up driving on a dirt area sure makes a ton of dust

Sounds & looks good my man, the turn downs were a good idea!

Is that the KB 2.1L everyone is scared to use due to heat? I think I saw a guy on Youtube slap that thing on & he made 480rwhp on the dyno before running out of fuel around 5,000 rpm.

That thing sounds great. I have the flowmaster cat back and this sounds better. At least at idle.

13th gen f150 and a boosted sn95 cobra. Great choices. I got the same but I run a vortech not a kenne bell though.

Nice setup, and it sounds nice at idle (last video). Any thought of trying to eliminate the rear bumper exhaust cutouts down the road?

Those are excellent numbers. In fact I don't think I've seen an sn95 b headed kenne belle ever make close to that. What other mods do you have?

Random idea here not sure it's really feasible or not but could you hook up a roots or twin screw blower in addition to a centrifugal blower? So you get the instant torque and the benefits of centrifugal top end power? I'm guessing since I've never seen this the answer is no but I am curious.

This is what unlocked the ability to make over500 rwhp from a b headed kb

Modifying inlet kenne bell project!
