Like the title says, the driver's side window is stuck in the up position. Checked the fuses under the dash, every one is good. When I hit the button to roll it down, theyres an audible "click" from under the dash, sounds to be near the fuse box but I can't exactly pinpoint it. Anyone have experience with this?

Follow these steps...

1) Go to car and sit in driver seat
2) Turn key to acc.
3) Hold the down button to the window
4) (while holding) Slam door shut
5) Smile.. and report back

+1 for awesome post.

While I was installing WC1000 window controllers, I noiticed my Driverside window mechanical regulator had been replaced...no problems...just noticed it had been replaced.

Is it the regulator over-extending/binding on that side??

on a separate note: BMW window regulators are common failures...plastic parts breaking...cables binding...I've replaced both of her window regs on driver and passenger sides.

Worked like a charm! Any idea HOW it works?

our cars have a "dead" spot in the motor when the window is fully up or down ... that's the best way i can explain it

when i roll my window down, once it is fully down... i tap it up a hair (so it's not fully down) and i never have the issue anymore

you can also hold the up button and just hit the door just above the speaker and it'll go up .. or vise versa for down of course

I've found tequila works. Usually not so stuck up after a couple.

Gentlemen,
The fix cant be slamming the door!
There has got to be a solution to this problem. It seems like alot of us have this problem. Anyone know if Ford has a bulleting to remedy this?
I have a convertible and slamming the door is not the best idea.

lmfao they don't mean literally slam the door. i do the same remedy and shut my door as if i were getting in it and it goes up. only happens on rare occassions
