Anyone ever successfully had a upholstery shop repair a torn drivers bolster? Just picked up a low mileage mach 1 (same bolster as a terminator, sorry) and the original owner was clearly not very easy getting in and out of the car. Any ideas on cost? Seems wasteful to order a new set of skins from LMR for $550 when only one bolster is severely worn.

I found a local guy who matched and repaired the bolster in my F250 (cloth seats) for $100 cash. He even fixed the worn padding. Guys like that don’t advertise - you have to ask around and get lucky to find them. I got lucky.

Check Craigslist. In my town there's a local guy who does auto upholstery, I'm sure you may have at least one guy on your local craigslist too.

This reminds me I need to find a guy to re-do my headliner in my fox.
