Any ideas on the best size rear tyres and wheels for the strip on a 2001 Mustang with a solid axle?
At the moment I run 9x17 cobra R's with Micky Thompson 275/40/17 drag radials.
I intend to go to 15's as I think it will improve the traction.
I already have Weld Pro Star front runners and want to use the same style at the rear.
My options are 8x15 or 10x15 wheels with either 275/50/15 or 325/50/15 Micky Thompson drag radials.(or whatever you suggest)
Obviously the tyre height will be relevant but I also need to know what I can get away with on width.
The motor is a '99 Cobra with an aftercooled Vortech if that has any bearing on choices

275's will be enough for what you're running. my buddy runs in the drag radial class in nmra and he has 325's. you need to have some serious power to spin those things good. Infact some of the guys run 275's. What kind of power you making?

If you have any other questions or want to talk about this more just pm me.
