Im about to order some MT street radials for my 1999 v6 wheels, 15x7s. I want 255/60/15s. For an 04 Mustang gt. I just want to make sure Im not going to have trouble with them fitting. I was going to order 275/50/15s but dont want to push the limit.
Anyone have any experience with these tires? Thanks guys!

I'd get bigger rims and go with 275/50/15's, they fit pretty well and will hook better for you.

On some cars you may need to roll your fender lips but that's not a big deal and you probably won't need to.

If you need to get 10,000 miles or so go with the Nitto nt555r's. The don't hook as good as MT's but they hook way better than any street tire.

If you want more hook than that and can handle 3000 to 5000 miles (depending on how hard you use them) go with the Mickey Thompsons.

Use 15 x 8" rims for the 275's, 5.5" backspacing is best but 4.5" or 5" will also work.

If you have Bullitt style wheels and want to match their look, SummitRacing.com has 3 wheels in the right size with a Bullitt look:

U.S. Wheel 701 Series Gunmetal Retro Wheels with Machined Lip 701-5812P 15 x 8 in., 5 in. Backspace, 5 x 4.5 in. Bolt Pattern, Aluminum, Silver $159.

Scott Drake 1964-73 Mustang Anthracite Classic Wheels S1MS-1007-158 Mustang Aluminum, Matte Gray, 15 in. x 8.0 in., 4.50 in. Backspace, probably closet to Bullitt in appearance.

American Racing Torq-Thrust D, Aluminum, Gray, 15 in. x 8 in., 4.50 in. Backspace (looks similar to above wheel)

I run the 275/50/15 Mickey's on my 15x8 wheels. You should be fine with a 255 on the v6 wheels, it's not going to be any worse than people who put 315's on 9" wheels or 335's on 10's lol

If you did decide to go to a 15x8 you want a 5.5" backspacing if you don't want to have to worry about any fitment issues. They tuck up under there just fine.

I was worried about how tall they were. My fenders arent rolled or anything. I ordered them, so hopefully Ill be able to get them on the car within the next week.
