bleeding the brakes this weekend. Will the car be able to take Dot 5 brake fluid from Amsoil? May do some open track racing next month. Or should I just put Dot 3 or Dot 4 from Prestone.

Thanks.

If the DOT5 fluid is silicone DO NOT USE IT!

It will find every particle of your old fluid and combine with it to create a nice goo that will ruin your brake system.

If you stick with a good DOT4 fluid you will be fine. Just flush your brake system every year with new, fresh, sealed DOT4 fluid and you will probably never have an ABS problem. Just make sure that you never let your master cylinder run dry while bleeding. if you do it will require a trip to the dealer to properly bleed the ABS module.
