Bumping old thread - I have a BF 2.76 upper, new metco idlers & BF snub idler, using a Gates K080745HD. I've put around 150 miles on the car since installing the parts listed, and the belt is completely black. Car hasn't been re-tuned since smaller pulley, so I've stayed out of boost completely, slowly putting around town on weekends. Is this belt slip? How do keep the belt green?

I had a green belt on my last set up and it never turned black. I'd check the pullies and make sure none are dragging or marked up.

I took the belt off, wiped it clean so its back to being green. What should I be checking for in regards to the pulleys? The metco's are brand new, but the snub idler was bought used. Its torqued pretty good, but noticed when I freely spin the idler, it kind of makes a ticking sound every 1/2 second or so.
