No more complicated than on an auto. Just different module with different logic. I've had one on a manual since 1993. There is a wire connected to the parking brake switch to signal when the parking brake is engaged There is a wire connected to the interior light switch to signal when the door is open. When you park the car you leave it running in neutral and engage the parking brake. You leave it running and push the button on the remote starter. You will hear the parking light relay click which will flash the parking lights. The engine will continue running and you will be able to remove the key with the engine running. Everyone exits the vehicle and all doors are closed. Once all doors are closed you push the button on the remote and the doors lock and the engine stops. Since the doors were locked while the engine was running and nobody was in the vehicle there is no wy the car can be put in gear. If anyone opens the door without first starting the vehicle it will disable the remote start.
