I've been told they are very well rounded vehicles. They even soundly beat all the other purpose built police cars not just in a strait line but around corners, hot lapping on several road courses. Even when they are heat soaked. The fact Wichita PD started buying them over the Tahoes was a surprise as even when the crown vic ruled the market they were running the fwd impala (thought they basically had Pontiac 3800s) Sheriff went to chargers, KHP Charger and Challengers and now the Ford Pursuit SUV. Just like on the water "the bigger boat wins" So when everyone has SUV's they feel the need to get something that can not be pushed away by the majority of crossovers. It's like an arms race. We cannot make it past the Kansas River at this point. Sarah has died from dysentery and we are out of ammo when it comes to electric, especially trucks and suvs. We need essentially indirect drive hybrids using solid state capacitors instead of heavy expensive batteries (at least in the base, and a plug in option with a battery), like a mix of tech from the first volts or a diesel locomotive. A little diesel generator, powering the electric motors like a train. Even in a truck that would be the reasonable course of action for the real world if you want to move to electric. As stated before this is not about electric, it's to get us to give up personal vehicles, at nearly any cost.
