DIY stand alone fuel cell

I have all the material I need to fab up a small 1 gal fuel cell. I'm just stuck on where to place it and what pump/regulator combo to go with. I was looking at the SAFE system from NX, but $750 for something I can do myself seems like a waste. I like that my setup is pretty much hidden right now, and I'd like to keep it that way. So questions are:
1. What fuel pump/regulator to use
2. Where should I stash the cell
3. Should I dead head the system at the solenoid or bleed it back to the cell

And an Aeromotive 13301 Regulator on our setups.

Ours is a 9x6x8 tank that fits anywhere a battery will fit. If you use that aeromotive regulator I mentioned, it returns right out of the tank back into it.
