    Hello,

In the state of Rhode Island,(from what I hear) your first speeding ticket is dismissed in court (some sort of a freebie every 3 years?). Will a dismissed speeding ticket increase your insurance rates?

    Thanks

Never heard of a freebie rule though it is not unusual to get a favorable plea bargain if you license is clean. Perhaps it some sort of an ACOD plea. Talk to a lawyer who practices in that courthouse and does traffic violations.

An outright dismissal is like it never happened so it should not affect your insurance.

dismissed means no points, no points = no insurance hike.

Rhode Island doesn't have a point system either which is kinda weird. . .:dw:
