I am looking at buying a supercharged harley truck to pull a boat with and I was wondering what is the difference in the motors of the two trucks? Is it just a pulley? What would be the max power you could get safely with the Harley? I am use to modding my 03 Cobra so the reliability never came into question but I know these trucks don't have the internals for 600 hp. Thanks,

Brandon

The Harley engine is rated at 340hp against the lightning's 380hp. The main difference is the top pulley diameter and subsequent tune. If your towing a boat I would imagine it's not just for you. The extra seats in the HD model IMO would be more beneficial than a single cab + the extra weight of the HD would make towing easier depending on the trailer and boat size. A pulley swap, CAI and re tune and you would be pushing 400hp easy.
