Was reading some comments on a youtube video and came across this post. I've filled my new F-350 a few times now and I believe his comments about the diesel pumps not getting much love.
"I fix gas stations for a living. People have no idea what we see with diesel fuel. We service over 300 fueling sites and over 90 percent have serious issues with the quality of fuel coming out of the nozzle. Some locations have taken it upon themselves to replace filters at the pump with dummy filters, filter housing with no media inside, so no filtration. Prior to ulsd diesel we saw very few issues with rust, now rust is so bad it's eating thru steel pipe inside the tanks. Fuel distributors have said terminals can inject additives for around 3 cents a gallon to kill microbes, help prevent water, and corrosion, no one is doing this . We are tired of changing diesel filters just about every day at work. I own a diesel pickup and I will never not use additive, I see what's really going on. I use cenpeco super diesel kleenz, it's patented . I've got tons of pictures showing this big problem."
